Mark Douyard, MBA, CPRP

Senior Recruitment Consultant

Mark began his career in physician recruitment in January 2000 with Weatherby Healthcare, prior to the merger with CompHealth. Mark managed teams in Emergency Medicine and Primary Care in both the Norwalk and Fort Lauderdale offices. In 2008 Mark left to start River Medical Recruiting, the in-house recruiting arm for MedExcelUSA, a New York based contract management group. In addition to leading a team of twelve recruiters, Mark was responsible for or involved in contract start-ups, scheduling, credentialing and business development.


Mark recently retired from a full-time position as the Sr. Physician Recruiter at Bayhealth Medical Center. Mark started at Bayhealth Medical Center in 2016. Mark and his team focused their efforts on the Bayhealth Medical Group, a growing a multi-specialty practice with over 20 locations and 130 physicians. In addition, they provide recruitment services to other service lines in the hospital as well as some practices in the community.  Mark is a member of AAPPR and MAPRA.


In addition to physician recruitment Mark is also the part-time Pastor at The Presbyterian Church of the Covenant (PCUSA) in Wilmington DE. Mark completed his divinity studies at Princeton Theological Seminary and the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary in 2015.


Prior to commencing a career in physician recruitment Mark was the owner, manager and chief mechanic of Jules Bicycle Shoppe, Inc. Located in Darien CT. Mark owned Jules for nearly twelve years before earning an MBA and transitioning into a new career.


Mark and his wife Barbara live in DE and enjoy travel, camping, bicycling, reading and spending time with time with Mark’s sons, daughters-in-law, and three grandchildren.
